Cool hat I like the material, bright color, and made in thr USA! I do not like the buckle however. The leather strap slips easily when the buckle is closed and flips open way too easily. The buckle is also not low profile so it digs into your head. I like to flip my hat forward or backwards on a run depending on sun etc. The buckle on this hat digs into my forehead so backwards isnt an option. Get rid of the current buckle to something lower profile with a better hold and this hat would be 5 stars! Let me know if you ever make a change I may try again. Thanks.

Thanks for checking out the hat and sharing your feedback! It sounds like the one you received might have a loose buckle—sorry about that. We can send out a new or different hat if you like. We’ve got new hats designs on the way that will feature a Velcro strap for a more secure and universal fit.
This is actually our second run of hats with the leather buckle. The first batch was really well received, which is why we brought it back. That said, this style leans more toward a casual, everyday look rather than a purely performance-focused design.
If you're after a more performance-oriented fit, our Camp Hats might be a better match—they feature a low-profile nylon strap and are built with activity in mind.

This is arguably my favorite hat of all time! It's my go-to for trail running and just for rocking around town. On long runs, it perfectly shields my eyes from the sun, and when I flip it around, it covers my neck just right. I've had this hat for over a year now, and I feel a little guilty about not choosing from my other 30+ hats—that's how much I love this one! The fact that it's made in America makes me even happier to support a local brand.
Runyon embodies everything I love about trail running and the running community as a whole. Wearing this brand feels like a badge of honor. I can't wait to get more hats in the future, especially with fall coming up here in Colorado!
