On this Giving Tuesday, we are proud to donate $1,000 from our $1 Wild Buck Campaign to the Ojai Raptor Center in Ventura County, California. The Ojai Raptor Center is a fully functional and permitted wildlife rehabilitation center that specializes in helping birds of prey. Every year the Center takes in 1,000 to 1,500 sick, injured or orphaned birds with the aim of rehabilitating and releasing them back to the wild. The Center also takes in a number of non-raptor birds as well as some mammals.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are excited to support the Ojai Raptor Center\u2019s important cause in protecting and restoring our wildlife. In addition to the rehabilitation and release of sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife, the Center promotes scientific discoveries that aid conservation efforts, and works to educate and inspire the community to become stewards of our environment. On the education front, the Center works to educate the community on such issues as the dangers of using poison, rat bait, and boxes to wildlife up and down the food chain and the harm of tree trimming in the wrong way and wrong time of year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
