The lightweight outer shell is constructed from 4-way stretch performance fabric with moisture-wicking and quick-dry technology to help keep you comfortable during running, trail running, hiking and high-output workouts. An odor-resistant built-in brief liner provides comfortable support while allowing freedom of movement.
3" Side Slits For Range of Motion
Designed to move naturally with your stride, the 3" side slits provide an unrestricted range of motion for running, trail running, track workouts, squats, gym training, beach workouts and other athletic activities. The lightweight split-short design delivers freedom of movement whether you're logging miles on the trail or training at the gym.
7" Zipper Phone Pocket
A 7" zippered backside phone pocket integrated near the waistband provides secure storage for a phone, keys, running gels and other essentials while running or training. An inside U.S. military-grade paracord drawstring provides a secure, adjustable fit. Reflective Runyon emblems on the front and back add visibility in low-light conditions. The bad: the seams are apparently too sturdy; it was chafe city for me. Not recommended if you don't have a thigh gap or tougher skin than I do. Assembly quality is marginal for a $64 short, mine had a large hole in the pocket. Runyon will take care of it, but it was disappointing.
The build quality is excellent. I expect them to last many years, making the price less of a hit.
The pocket in the back is well designed, pretty easy to access while running, and it holds phone and keys securely so you don't notice them with every step like most shorts with pockets I've tried.
I actually liked them so much, I bit the bullet and ordered the two pocket 5" Trail Stash shorts to check out.
