The Runyon TrailStash™ Gravel Short Shell 2.0 is a unisex, unlined performance short designed for women who want lightweight versatility and functional storage for running, trail running, hiking, cycling, gym workouts, swimming, travel, and everyday outdoor adventures. A 5-inch inseam, relaxed athletic fit, and 4-way stretch shell provide freedom of movement across a wide range of activities.
Dual Outside Zipper Pockets
Two 6-inch exterior zipper pockets provide secure, easy-access storage without the bulk of traditional inside pockets. The integrated side pockets are sized to carry everyday essentials including a phone, keys, running gels, and other small gear while running, hiking, cycling, traveling, or exploring outdoors.
4-Way Stretch Quick-Dry Performance Shell
Constructed from a lightweight yet durable poly/spandex performance shell, the TrailStash™ moves naturally with your body while providing comfortable range of motion. 4-way stretch, moisture-wicking, and quick-dry performance make these versatile athletic shorts equally suited for sweaty trail miles, gym workouts, bike rides, hikes, and days around the water.
US-Made Paracord Outside Drawstring
An exterior US-made paracord drawstring provides an adjustable and secure fit while adding a rugged Runyon signature detail. Each drawstring is individually finished, secured to help keep it in place through wear and washing, and made using paracord sourced from a veteran-owned business.
The unlined shell design gives you the flexibility to wear the shorts with your preferred underwear or performance liner depending on the activity. Roomy leg openings and an increased-rise Version 2.0 fit provide comfortable mobility for running, hiking, cycling, climbing, swimming, training, and everyday wear.

Designer Commentary
The TrailStash™ Gravel Short Shell 2.0 builds on the previous versions of the short using feedback from the people who wore them. For Version 2.0, we redesigned the side pockets by integrating the zippers directly into the side panels for a sturdier construction and cleaner design. We also secured the Made in USA paracord drawstring to help keep it in place through wear and washing, with each paracord tip individually hand-finished.
We also gave Version 2.0 a more relaxed fit with an increased rise and removed the built-in liner brief. The unlined design gives you more flexibility to wear the shorts with briefs, boxer briefs, compression shorts, or your preferred performance liner depending on whether you're hiking, riding, running, swimming, or traveling.
I wanted these to be the kind of shorts you reach for beyond a single sport — lightweight enough for running, functional enough for hiking and cycling, and comfortable enough to become an everyday adventure short.
