Introducing the Runyon TrailStash 5" Gravel Short Shell 2.0 — a performance multi-sport fitness short that’s perfect for everything from cycling to running to hiking and beyond!
Dual Outside Zipper Pockets
This multi-sport short features two outside plastic moulded zipper pockets perfectly sized to run with water bottles, keys, gels, a phone and all your other paraphernalia.
4-Way Stretch Quick-Dry Performance Shell
Constructed with lightweight yet durable moisture-wicking poly/spandex outer shell, it moves when you move keeping you dry while you’re on the grind.
US-Made Military Grade Survival Outside Drawstring
For the drawstring we used a US Military Grade survival paracord that also functions as a tourniquet if you get bit by a rattler in the wild. You’ll be glad to know our signature drawstring cord was made by a United States Government Contractor and was also purchased from a veteran-owned business. Each drawstring is individually hand-crafted and finished.
Designer Commentary
The TrailStash 5" Gravel Short Shell 2.0 is an improvement from the previous two runs of the short. For this version we listened to all the helpful critical feedback from the previous two designs taking into consideration everyone's comments what they really wanted for us to make. So we made the side pockets more sturdy by integrating the zippers into the side panels. We've tacked down the Made In USA paracord drawstring to keep it intact after wash. Each paracord tip is hand finished.
The fit of these shorts are more relaxed. And now without a built-in liner brief, you can use the short back-to -back days whether you like to wear briefs or boxers on your hikes, rides, runs and adventures.

Best shorts I’ve ever owned! I’m 5’6” and I have 3 pairs (S, S and XS). Smaller size is great for running, while bigger size is great for hiking and swimming. The pockets and zippers are a dream. Perfectly angled and easy to open/close: no more tiny zippers that you can’t grab! Love the look and the colors. Just excellent all around

FLAWLESS shorts for all the sports do: trail running, road running, hiking, backpacking, and lifting. The pockets are deep and perfect for my which a lot of shorts lack. The zippers make sure your stuff is safe. They're light, breathable, and so unbelievably comfortable. You can even swim with them

I love that the detailed measurements were given. I took my favorite fit “big box” running shorts and compared them to Runyon’s measurements, found out the 5” Trailstash is exactly what I needed. They’re freakin perfect. I’ll never buy the mainstream brand again. American made is right down my lane and yall do it right. Comfort, fashion and quality are a 10.

Easily the best running shorts I have ever owned. The quality is obvious, and the fit is perfect. Some brands I fit a small, others a medium. I am small framed, 5'7" and 138 lbs. The small fit perfectly. These shorts are comfortable, and solidly constructed.

Purchased both the shorts and the shirt and absolutely love these two. The shorts are perfect for everything from going to the gym to going for a run or just wearing around the house. I love the athletic shirt. It’s breathable and feels next to nothing but still protects me from the elements. Runyon really thinks about the end user and makes it a point to make product that is functional and sporty. I so love my shorts and Runyon shirt. They are my go to items for all of my activities. Excellent trail running shorts. Fabric is comfortable and it is perfect for a variety of outdoor activities. The things I'd like to have is an interior liner short long enough to carry a phone and a rear velcro pocket to carry things like key fobs, ID, etc.

The shorts are really nice and light, they don't ride up. The zippered pockets come in handy, they don't bounce as much when you have two things in your pockets. The bottle doesn't move anywhere. The drawstrings stays in place, they tie really well. Great color, great shorts.

Rocked these at the Belgian Waffle Ride in San Marcos, CA (137 Miles) just to see how they would perform/feel after riding a 7+ hour bike ride event with the built-in liner brief. Rode the entire event with my phone in the right pocket and a lightweight cycling jacket in the left pocket. Overall felt really cool in them and they held up great through the rigors of the rough terrain and roads. Although after 7+ hours on the gravel bike, it's best to wear a biker short underneath and maybe cut out or remove the liner. With the built-in brief it's do-able just may start to feel the elastic at the crotch make contact with the saddle. Overall there was no moisture at the saddle area compared to wearing a traditional bike/bib short with padding. Wearing no padding was a new experience and was fun to experiment and may not be for everyone. Aside from using these to do my 2-3 hour rides-- the short is my go-to for running, hiking and wearing almost everyday.

These shorts are great! Deep pockets for whatever you might need to bring along. Also super comfortable waistband and haven’t experienced any chaffing for longer efforts. Fully recommend these shorts, plus the color is amazing! No getting lost in the woods!

Rocked my shorts in the Italian alps last week!! Ran in them, swam in them, chilled in them! I need to order more!!. I love mine!! Wear them all the time..the shorts are super comfy!! Perfect length. And the reflective stuff is great too. ❤️ Love the brown Toyon Trucker Hat and the wild buck wildlife support is so cool as well. A buddy of mine ordered some too. I’ll be getting more for sure!! These shorts are awesome. Perfect for throwing on on a Saturday morning and doing all the activities. Pockets are great, can run with my phone with minimal bouncing. Zippers are great. Color is awesome, I have the rust, they look exactly as advertised! I’ve been biking, running, hiking, and grocery shopping in them, they can handle all of those. Lycra and tiny shorts have their place but as a father of five it’s nice to have a do it all option. Made in America is just so awesome as well, got a handwritten note in my order, super cool. I’m 5’9” fluctuate between 175-178 depending on how many cookies I eat and the medium fits fine, pay attention to the wash instructions though, mine went into my old dryer which basically cooks everything and they shrank a little, they still fit but now I don’t need the drawstrings! Which is a shame because they are super nice. Saving up my money for the orange ones!
