To celebrate Earth Day we’re excited to announce $2,500 contributed this year to Citizens for Los Angeles Wildlife (CLAW), a local wildlife charity we’ve partnered with as a recipient of our $1 Wild Buck donations.
Citizens for Los Angeles Wildlife (CLAW) held another re-wilding event this past Saturday to see CLAW’s seeding efforts of 2022 with a local super bloom!
Volunteers weeded around the 100 plant and sprouted nuts at their re-wilding project site at the intersection of Mulholland and Laurel Canyon.
In the pictures, you’ll see CLAW’s Educational Programs Manager Cassandra posing with a juvenile black walnut and hugging an adult black walnut tree.
Did you know Black walnut trees are one of LA’s protected trees and can take as long as 10 years to mature.
Volunteers located and flagged black walnut seedlings amongst the tall grass to protect them from the annual brush clearance. CLAW also placed a bee careful sign at an active bee hive at the site.
Currently $1 from every item sold at Runyon.co is donated to charitable causes like CLAW.
Also, 100% of the proceeds from the Mountain Lion P-22 Urban Legend Shirt also is donated to CLAW.
