This Holiday Season, Join Mountain Lion P-22 and Citizens For Los Angeles Wildlife By Purchasing A Limited-Edition Shirt
LOS ANGELES – DECEMBER 2014 – Los Angeles-based fitness and outdoor apparel company, Runyon Canyon Apparel, has partnered with Citizens For Los Angeles Wildlife, Inc. (CLAW) to create a limited-edition T-shirt in support of the great work the organization does to improve the well being of local wildlife.
This historic shirt celebrates Griffith Park’s Mountain Lion P-22, which not too long ago almost died of mange from eating rat poison. Fortunately he survived, but thousands of other mountain lions, hawks, owls, and bobcats living in the Santa Monica Mountains haven’t been so lucky.
“We are excited to partner and support CLAW and offer a historic shirt to raise awareness about the crisis of our local wildlife,” said Tony Nuccio, Runyon Canyon Apparel Founder. “We want to continue educating the public and support great environmental causes. Although we’re excited to offer this historic shirt that celebrates Mountain Lion P-22 we also hope to inspire people to make a more significant year-end contribution directly to this organization.”
CLAW is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit charity that has been effective in working with the City of Los Angeles to help the local wildlife by implementing solutions that include banning certain rodenticide use, planning wildlife corridors, and establishing fire prevention, deer protection and barn owl box programs. CLAW wants to make sure wildlife are considered and protected from dangers in the growing density in order to protect the future of nature where it is not too late.
The Limited-Edition P-22 Citizen T-Shirt is a moisture-wicking technical performance shirt that’s milled, cut and sewed in Los Angeles. The shirt features a graphic of P-22 commissioned by local artist Rick Garcia. From each purchase, 50% of the proceeds will be donated to CLAW.
